I hope someone looks at my pictures and they feel something. Maybe they'll relate to something going on. Perhaps they'll giggle at what's happening, or cry in response to what they see. But more so I take pictures for the subject. I love seeing the joy on a person's face when I ask if I can get a pic of them, they display a look of disbelief centered around the question "why me?" I try to have meaningful conversations with everyone I photograph before I take the picture; I like to establish a genuine connection, for this is the only way you can get someone to expose their genuine spirit. And genuine spirit is what I'm after.
